This innovative institution promises to redefine the boundaries of traditional museums, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With its curved shapes and 120 meters long, on the edge of Tagus river, the new building \u2013 designed by the British architect Amanda Levete \u2013 opened its doors today to the public. Its elegant lines and bold curves create a sense of movement and fluidity, reflecting the dynamic nature of the art and technology housed within its walls. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe idea is to make it look like the landscape, leaving the view open to the city and the river,\u201d says the architect. She adds that \u201cthe aim was to create a space where people can come, not just as a museum, but as a public space where they can meet at a time when people communicate predominantly at a distance,\u201d she explains. \u201cThat&#8217;s more important than the buildings themselves.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-c7246afc\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">What distinguishes this art museum?<\/h2><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of MAAT&#8217;s most remarkable features is its rooftop terrace, which offers stunning views of the Tagus River and the city of Lisbon. This outdoor space is free and popular for watching the sunset. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, MAAT&#8217;s opening <a href=\"https:\/\/maat.pt\/pt\/horario\">hours<\/a> are as follows:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; From Wednesday to Monday it is open from 10 AM to 7 PM;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Closed on Tuesdays and January 1st, May 1st, December 24th, 25th and 31st (from 3 PM).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is certainly an experience to enjoy in Lisbon.
