In 2023, the Port of Lisbon registered a new record for cruise passengers, approximately 758,300 passengers. The largest turnaround operation took place on July 30, with a total of 9,163 passengers, of which 4,476 embarked and 4,687 disembarked. The year 2023 concluded with revenue of more than 83 million euros in direct economic impact. <\/p>\n\n
In the same year, the North American market secured 2nd place in the table (42%) for the highest number of turnaround passengers, behind the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n

The Port of Lisbon achieved, in 2024, the best results ever in cruise tourism activity, establishing six new records throughout the year. Among the highlights are the number of passengers transported, the total number of calls made and the increase in crew members, consolidating Lisbon as a benchmark destination in the sector. <\/p>\n\n
More than 763,000 passengers in 2024<\/h4>\n\n

In the last year, the Port of Lisbon registered a total of 763,752 cruise passengers, surpassing the previous record of 758,328 in 2023. This growth was driven by 591,796 transit passengers, representing a 7% increase compared to the 554,324 registered the previous year. <\/p>\n\n
The number of calls at the Lisbon Cruise Terminal also grew, with a total of 369 calls made, up from the 353 registered in 2023. Of these, 110 were turnaround calls, a slight increase compared to the 107 from the previous year. <\/p>\n\n
In addition, the Port of Lisbon welcomed a record number of cruise ships, totaling 133 vessels, exceeding the 130 registered in 2019. This increase was accompanied by the growth of cruise crew members, which reached 288,049, marking a 3% increase compared to the 279,090 counted in 2023. <\/p>\n\n
