One of the main attractions of River Garden is its privileged location, which allows a unique view of the Tagus River, the April 25th Bridge<\/a> and the city of Lisbon. It is a spacious and refreshing space that allows for pleasant walks and moments of relaxation in the garden area. In this way, the garden was designed to be an extension of the city of Almada to the Tagus River. <\/p>\n

The riverside area is characterized by a stone path that follows the course of the river and offers a spectacular view over Lisbon. In this space, it is possible to sit on the benches and enjoy the landscape or even fish in the river. There is a route that ends at a viewpoint next to the Panoramic Elevator square in Boca do Vento<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

It is a pet-friendly space, where it is common to see people walking their dogs, which further increases its appeal to families and local residents.<\/p>\n\n

River Garden extends along the escarpment, from Pipa Fountain, a fountain built by King Jo\u00e3o V in 1736, to the houses of Pier of Ginjal, standing out as a small gem on the riverfront of Almada. Its leafy vegetation combines perfectly with the freshness of the waters, providing an atmosphere of communion that soothes the senses. <\/p>\n\n

The Naval Museum<\/h2>\n\n

Also noteworthy in this area is the Naval Museum which, since 1991, has occupied part of the facilities of the former Portuguese Fishing Company (1920-1984). In addition, the programming includes temporary and long-term exhibitions, showcasing the history and heritage of shipbuilding and repair companies that established their shipyards and workshops in the municipality, covering a historical period that spans the entire 20th century. <\/p>\n\n

Thus, the two restaurants located on the outskirts are highly visited places, both by local residents and tourists.
