Cascais Marina

In Cascais Bay, sheltered to the west by the Citadel and overlooking Ribeira Beach.

Boats moored in Cascais Bay

Although Cascais has been a fishing village and royal retreat since the 19th century, its marina is a modern addition (opened in 1999). Located in Cascais Bay, it was designed to position Cascais on the international high-competition sailing circuit, replacing the old and modest harbor.

It is an international-standard marina with approximately 650 berths. It is equipped to accommodate large vessels, including superyachts, offering a maximum draft of up to 6.5 meters and heavy maintenance services (including a 70-ton travel lift).

Current Function: High-end nautical tourism, base for international crews, prestigious regatta center (e.g., The Ocean Race, world sailing championships), and leisure and dining hub.
