Creating Memories: The Importance of Details

Our team welcomed the group of 110 guests with the utmost dedication. From start to finish, every detail was carefully planned to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible, beginning with the shuttle service that took them from the Sheraton Hotel in the city center to the Alcântara dock by the river, where they were met by the crew of the Évora.

One of the most sought-after vessels for occasions like this, the Évora is a historic boat of German origin, built in 1931 from recycled steel plates taken from World War I tanks. With a capacity of 220 people, it served for many years as a passenger ferry between the two banks of the Tagus River. It is considered a boat with “soul.”

As soon as they boarded, with a flute of sparkling wine in hand, the guests were able to marvel at the beauty of the city as seen from the river, while enjoying Lisbon’s famous twilight glow in the relaxed atmosphere of the upper deck.

Dinner followed in the most intimate and cozy area of the lower deck, where the tables had been carefully decorated.

The most anticipated moment of the evening, however, was to take place on the upper deck, bathed in moonlight and the lights of Lisbon: the ORISE awards ceremony. As the Évora glided past the city’s most beautiful monuments, the company’s president called the award recipients up, one by one, to receive their awards. Everyone applauded and chanted “Orise, Orise,” celebrating their unity and their sense of pride and belonging to the company.
