Belém
Oeiras
Cascais

These journeys are perfect for exploring the details of the Greater Lisbon skyline. Discover below some examples of the boat transfers we’ve made.

In the air, on land and in the water

They were staying at the Myriad Hotel in the Nations’ Park area. They wanted a morning full of activities, adrenaline, discoveries and emotions.

We suggested boarding the speedboats at the Parque das Nações Marina. To get there, you should first take a cable car ride, which lasts 8 minutes over a distance of around 1,200 metres.

And so it was. From a height of about thirty metres, they enjoyed the breathtaking panorama of Parque das Nações. They could see the Lisbon Oceanarium up close, the Olivais Docks, the Portugal Pavilion, the Atlantic Pavilion, the Lisbon International Fair Pavilion and, in the distance, the Oriente station and the Vasco da Gama bridge.

Afterwards, the 42 participants walked the last few metres along the riverside esplanades towards the boarding point for about 10 minutes. Moored at the Parque das Nações marina, four speed boats were waiting for the group!

Once comfortably settled in, and after the initial welcome briefing, the adventure continued and the adrenaline surged. Leaving the Marina slowly, they were able to discover this modern area of Lisbon from the river. It was certainly a complement to the view they had had from the cable car. Everything made more sense and the scenery was truly impressive. Two more exciting moments followed: passing under the enormous Vasco da Gama Bridge and approaching the Tagus Park, the place where Pope Francis visited in 2023 during World Youth Day.

  • A: Nations Park
  • B: Santo Amaro Recreation Dock

After these discoveries, the engines revved towards Alfama, Praça do Comércio and Cais do Sodré. A few more moments to stop for the usual photographs and we headed for the south bank of the River Tagus, making an approach to Cristo Rei. And so the adventure continued. Sometimes at high speed with splashes and lots of excitement, sometimes at low speed to see the details and listen to the skipper’s explanations about Lisbon’s main icons.

After crossing the 25 de Abril Bridge, we continued on to Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoveries, MAAT….. ‘What a spectacle!’ was the expression most often heard on board.

The group disembarked at the Santo Amaro Recreational Dock, the place chosen for lunch by this lively group.

Boat transfer to the restaurant

This group of 45 professionals from different countries had lunch booked at the SUD Lisboa restaurant. As they wanted to use the morning to socialise and discover Lisbon from a unique perspective, they opted for the boat transfer service.

So during the tour, which began at the Doca do Espanhol, they were able to enjoy a magnificent cocktail, relax and learn more about Lisbon with the help of the tour guides on duty specifically for this event.

  • B: Belém Docks

This historic boat docked at the Belém River Station. After disembarking, the group had the opportunity to walk for eight minutes along the Belém waterfront to the place chosen for lunch.

From Norway to Cascais

It was a group of 17 employees of a Norwegian real estate company who were staying at a hotel in the centre of Lisbon. Their programme of activities included dinner at a restaurant in Cascais.

They chose to embark in Lisbon, in the Alcântara area, in the middle of the afternoon and start their nautical adventure along the mouth of the Tagus and into the waters of the Atlantic, aboard a spacious motor yacht. There was time to enjoy the incredible scenery of Lisbon and the Portuguese coast, for diving, sunbathing, music and lots of entertainment on board.

  • A: Alcântara Docks
  • B: Cascais Marina

At the end of the afternoon, when they arrived in Cascais, they expressed a contagious joy at having lived this unforgettable experience.

A successful transfer in autumn colours

It was on an October morning that this group of 45 staff members from a multinational pharmaceutical company (Bristol-Myers Squibb) boarded a modern motor catamaran.

The plan for their stay in Portugal included, in addition to working and socialising in Lisbon, accommodation and a range of activities in the Guincho area. They chose to travel between Lisbon and Cascais by boat, taking the opportunity to enjoy the views of Lisbon and the Estoril railway line. All their luggage was conveniently transported by bus to the new hotel that welcomed them.

This route, which took a total of two hours, started in Lisbon, at the Santo Amaro Docks. After the impressive passage under the 25 de Abril Bridge, we passed in front of the MAAT, the Monument to the Discoveries, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower and many other points of interest just outside the Portuguese capital. Once in the waters of the Atlantic, we were able to admire the Fort of São Bruno, the Búgio Lighthouse, the Fort of Julião da Barra, the paradisiacal beaches of the Estoril Line and, almost at the end, enjoy the charming Bay of Cascais.

A full day

This boat transfer experience is very common. It’s an option chosen by families who want to enjoy the afternoon in Cascais and/or Sintra. And to make the most of this opportunity, they choose to take the boat trip in the morning, in a quiet way, by sailboat or catamaran.

  • A: Santo Amaro Recreation Dock
  • B: Cascais Marina

They often have a driver waiting for them at the Cascais Marina, who will accompany them for the rest of the afternoon and help them discover the secrets of these regions. There are those who choose to drive to Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point of continental Europe), those who take the opportunity to discover Portuguese gastronomy in the excellent restaurants in the Guincho and Cascais area, those who visit the Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle, Quinta da Regaleira or any other enchanted place in magical Sintra. In short, there are options for all tastes. At the end of the day, you can comfortably return to Lisbon by car.
