With a unique setting, where crossing the 25th of April Bridge is the highlight, the race stood out for its impeccable organization, massive participation, and, of course, the stunning views over the Tagus River and the Portuguese capital.
A Unique Event in the World
The Lisbon Half Marathon is the only race that allows athletes to cross the 25th of April Bridge on foot, offering a truly unforgettable experience.
Starting at 9:30 AM, just after the tolls of the bridge, the 21.095 km route stood out for its flat layout and ideal conditions for breaking records. Over the years, this race has been the stage for historic times, solidifying itself as one of the fastest half marathons in the world.
The 10 Km Alternative
For those not yet ready for the half marathon, the 10 km race was an alternative. Starting at 10:05 AM, the course took participants from the 25th of April Bridge to a triumphant finish at Praça do Império, in front of the Jerónimos Monastery.
Participation and Benefits During the Race
Registration for both races included a range of benefits that enhanced the participants’ experience. In addition to the technical T-shirt and race bag, entrants enjoyed free transportation in Lisbon and across the southern bank, refreshments along the route, insurance, a participation medal, and, for half marathon participants, an official time and certificate.

The Impact of the Event
The Lisbon Half Marathon is a sporting event that celebrates the city, unity, and sport. This year, thousands of runners from various nationalities not only tested their limits but also took the opportunity to enjoy Lisbon.
With such a remarkable event, the countdown to the 35th edition has already begun. If you missed the chance to participate this year, stay tuned so you don’t miss the next edition and experience the privilege of running on the 25th of April Bridge.
