Lisbon, capital of the sea, hosts today the second edition of “Sails of Lisbon 2015”. A sunset regatta that is expected to bring together more than a hundred boats on the Tagus.
Organized by “Associação Nacional Cruzeiros” with the support of “CML”, “EGEAC” and riverside parishes, this initiative, integrated in the “Festas de Lisboa”, will provide a unique experience to those who participate in it and an unforgettable spectacle to those who see it from the banks of the river.
The boats depart from Alcântara at 20:00 (30 minutes before sunset) and travel along the estuary of the Tagus riverside area. After the arrival of the boats in the Belém area, from 22:00 there will be a meeting on the upstream pier of the Belém dock.
Moonlight, Tagus and Lisbon, three ingredients for a unique and magical night, in a city reconciled with its river that opens increasingly to the sea.
